Continued washing today. Decided that I don't mind getting prune-y hands, then dry skin peeling hands because it gives me an excuse to use my pineapple hand lotion. Finished the last bag from f.1 from 397. Started some stuff from the main site we'll be working at this summer. The chert I got today was different. Some might say: "Rock is rock." But, this wasn't solid colored like the rest of the chert I'd washed. It had ripples of other colors throughout. They were really pretty.
Decided today that the Christmas analogy could also apply to washing too. When you get a bag from a site you weren't on, you don't know what's in there. Then, the stuff is all still caked with mud/dirt. It's really more like unwrapping than digging a hole was.
Music in the morning today. Took a trip back in time with some Reggie and the Full Effect and some Saves the Day. Hadn't listened to them since about 01. Really made my day. Conversation at the table after lunch and R, I, and myself had the full gambit of lab procedures (that we know thus far) rolling between the 3 of us. I (me) was washing, R was picking flot's, and I(not me) was labeling. V came in for her interview today at 130. Was nice to have her in the lab. Brightened up the place.
Finished the day with some Dashboard Confessional to fit in w/ the Reggie and Saves. Informed we'd be going into the field next week. No worries there. Decided I'd find a tool roll for my field tools so I didn't have to carry around another thing. Satchel and lunchbox are quite enough. Add to that my water jug as summer wears. I'll be loaded down w/ a ton of crap.
During breaks today worked more on my autobiography about music. Not sure how I'll work that one, though. Kind of want to put sections out as blog entries. But, then again if I can convince myself it's good, maybe i'll push further with it. Who knows. Anywho, belly is full and I'm sleepy. Off to bed.
