Slacking here. Finding it hard to make "So, I dug in the dirt today" sound new every day.
Finished the structure this week. Not much else to report beyond the point from last week material-wise. For the rest... the trenches came out to be something like 50cm on BJS's side and 40ish on mine. We were told that was fairly deep and this structure may have been fairly large. I thought that was neat, it let my mind wander.
Later in the week we were informed that they'd be "breaking up the band." Understandable. We go where we're needed. However, JDK apologizes to me every day I work with this new girl. She makes me want to gouge out my own eyes w/ my chaining pins. I mean that in the nicest way possible. Best I can do is dig, do my job, and try and remain civil even though I may not agree with what she has to say/don't really give a damn about what she's talking about.
(Time to Tarantino it)
18May was the big Dept of Transport tour. JDK led it, did a fine job, even though the tour consisted of a bunch of office folk looking for an afternoon out of doors and a free lunch. There's so much information and history here and these people are only worried about having a partial vacation day. Sigh.
Rained over the Memorial day weekend, Tues was lab day. Washed all day (got to use pineapple lotion, yay!). Rain tonight, looks like a lab day again tomorrow. Need to remember to ask management about field trip possibilities for the fall.
