Or more precisely, watching a machine dig. Well, I do dig too, but the machine digs more.
Have been watching the trackhoe dig out new EBs, helping JB define features, etc. We've been taking half days this past week. It's easily been about 5024.5 degrees F out. Standing under the sun is what I assume so many hot dogs in toaster ovens experience.
Structures structures structures! Trench sets upon trench sets. Burnt, not, large, small. I do not envy the new people coming to the field. Frankly, I don't envy whoever may undertake some of the things we've discovered.
So, half days we go back to the lab. It's lab things.
Found a broken point in an off day when JB was sick and I got to dig near the big burned structure.
We've been starting at 7 to beat the ehat, but when it's 80 degrees when we leave the house there's not much to beat.
Took the Jeep out for it's maiden voyage into the field. Some chattering/rattling under the driver's side so haven't taken it back out. Too bad too, it's been sunny sunny sunny. Will look into it this weekend. Maybe it's just a jeep thing.
