Still digging. Over a month, over a month; lots to say? maybe. lazy? yes. maybe. Hot days are waning. Haven't been so much hot as humid. Sunny days allowed for the newly tuned jeep to be brought out to play. Still feel it's the only way to get to the site.
Machine got put on hold for a few weeks, so I got to play in the dirt a bit. Got to teach some folks how to map structures for a while. On rain days have been sorting large maps and assigning numbers. Got to check notes.
Back in the field got to start this pretty large structure w/ BSS and KAF_2. Dissected into 6 sections due to its size. Basin is deep. Lots of little sherd bits. A concentration of chert in sections 4 and 6. Lots of burnt stuff, but looks like burnt from some other place. Found burning on the floor too. So much going on, "lots of ins and outs."
It doesn't have to just be about work, though, does it?
Found Catch-22 (punk ska band) again. First found them back in 99... ish when we went to see someone or other at a local venue. Found a discography, Keasbey Nights is still fantastic, still working into their other albums.
Got a solo album by Mike Ness of Social Distortion fame. Very SDesque w/ traces of Johnny Cash.
Got some movies from the library, of them is High Fidelity; that ridiculously self aware movie about music.(?)
Reread the sixth Harry Potter book after seeing the sixth movie, only to go see it again on IMAX this weekend.
Working on a new song. With the new rig I should be able to self record. It has good 1/4" jacks which is a good start. Old box had the jacks ripped out while using headphones.
Ah well, worked for the weekend all week and time to relax.
