Finished the large structure discussed in my previous post. Finished it yesterday. 5 weeks of work. In the end had alot of hands in the pot, but it got done.
Found a nice sized post in the southern portion that looked like it could be a support post, only it would require a companion post. Where it would have been located in the northern section of the structure was a historic disturbance. After digging it up, I found ~6cm of the bottom of a post. Felt very accomplished.
Moved on to mapping. Working with a cluster f of structures. Mostly wall trenches only, but one has a bit of basin left. A couple really big post pits. Should be exciting.
Weather looks nice through thurs. Still warm, but who can complain. So long as there's a breeze it's not too bad.
Jeep on the fritz, hoping reworking the choke valve and then a spray of carb cleaner will help, if not I'm at a loss.
(An island refers to what a finished structure looks like w/ the trenches excavated: an island of dirt.)
