I got a promotion! It's exciting to me, and though in title/responsibility only, I'm quite pleased with it. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid, or overly critical. But, it's nice to know that they think I'm doing a good job.
Back in the field this week. It's cold. It snowed today, and that's one of the prettiest things I've seen out here yet. Saw some butterflies over the summer, and the flowers are nice, but the snow just changes it. Especially watching it fall. It plays hell on maps, though. We set up a tent out of tarp and some shovels. It looked silly, but what the hell; it got the job done.
Looking to get colder tomorrow. I don't like windchill.
