Weeks.

Finished 48. Started chasing the "easement" only to find out that the easement wasn't ours afterall. Maybe we chased a few dozen feet of trespassing... maybe.

Moved on to 45/46 and learned the meaning of "failure." Failure is coming back to a previously opened block almost a year later to find a feature that was missed. On your watch. It's there, though. 45/46 yielded more of the same until we opened up the last corner to find ~6 sets of wall trenches superimposed. It showed up beautifully against the subsoil (quite the opposite of the midsection of that strip that had dark subsoil).

At this point one might think we're in a delorean and going back in time as the next target of our expansion project was block 44. The expansion of 44 was grueling. It was like trying to differentiate the shades of white on a blank piece of paper. There were some areas midway up our strip that was plenty of headache, even though it became apparent there was something there.

For the past 3 months our car radio has been on the out. It would lose power, lose previous settings, not turn on at all. So, I decided to look into a new one. The one I found has no cd drive. It's all digital. Has an SD card slot and usb slot. The real adventure was installing it, though. This is something I'd never done, as I felt it should be left to the professionals. But, after doing it I'm upset that I paid someone to do it before. Lots of following instructions and matching colors.

Another first today: successfully made gnocchi. The last attempt resulted in a bowl full of sticky mess. Little did I know that if I added more flour it would work itself out. All I need to remember for next time is to add more salt as I add more flour so it's not as flat tasting.
