Hiatus? or just lazy?

Working in EB45/46 today, I was inspired to post an entry. It's been a month, I'm getting lazy. But, that's the way the weather gets me. Even in college my Spring months were overwrought with hours of napping on a warm patch of grass, under that bright bright sun with some book or other laid across my face and some music or other bopping in my ears. Old habits die hard, no? And spring is no exception. It's distracting at best.

But, EMB made me feel guilty for not posting, so here I am, an update.

Somewhat directing a block w/ BJS. Trained 4 new people earlier this week and as the week progressed we got more people. I won't lie, at times everything comes due at once and I fear my head might explode. But, I do my best. Feel kind of off not actually assigned to a feature and digging/doing something. But, there's enough going on that keeps us busy. The new folks seem to be working out pretty well, most have good heads on their shoulders and a good drive.

Got new chert! Ordered from neolithics.com and got some heat treated novaculite and some raw keokuk and a bit of obsidian. The novac. is superb. Even though it's heat treated it looks and feels like raw mill creek. The keokuk came in a 10lb hunk that's bigger than my head and I'm still unsure as to how I'll deal with it. Most likely I'll just hit it with a big hammerstone/billet and see where I get. For the price the rock is alright. May have to order keokuk spalls and maybe some agate.

Got new ink! Got the bird w/ anchor tied to foot and a key tattooed on my right forearm. Sat in the shop last friday for just over three hours and got some fantastic work done. Will go back in probably mid summer and get the rosary done. Decided I'll be going all the way up the arm so... more to come.

Anywho, hungry after a day in the field and the best mexican joint in the area is calling my name. Adios!
